Marian Rivera Honored at Walk of Fame

Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes and Claudine Barretto were among the 3rd batch of stars honored in the Walk of Fame, the local version of the one in Hollywood Boulevard.

Just like the Hollywood Walk of Fame, our local stars receive stars on the sidewalk. The brain child of the local version is Master Showman himself, German "Kuya Germs" Moreno. The Walk of Fame is located in Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City.

Only selected stars are immortalized in the Walk of Fame, and according to Kuya Germs, these stars are those who have invaluable contribution in the local showbiz industry, regardless if the celebrity is still alive or not.

Marian Rivera is FHM's Philippines No. 1 Sexiest Woman

FHM Philippines released the final results of their annual poll 100 Sexiest Women in the World and Marian Rivera finished first, Katrina Halili second and Angel Locsin third.

The star of GMA’s top-rating fantaserye Dyesebel became the first non-covergirl to top the annual poll of the best-selling men’s magazine.

Here’s is the final tally of online and text votes for the Top 3:

1st Marian Rivera - 316,135 votes
2nd Katrina Halili - 123,239 votes
3rd Angel Locsin - 121,388 votes

This year’s global winner is Transformer hottie Megan Fox, who recently topped the FHM US poll.

Marimar Rules February NUTAM

GMA’s Marimar starring the tandem of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes is the no. 1 primetime tv program nationwide for the whole month of February 2008 according to a report by AGB Nielsen’s NUTAM (Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement) research.

Another GMA show ruled the NUTAM weekend primetime last February and it’s no other than Michael V.’s Bitoy’s Funniest Videos.

Marian Rivera, the fastest-rising star in the Philippines today, is scheduled to do a movie with no less than the comedy king, Dolphy and the comedy prince, Vic Sotto.

Marimar Boosts GMA’s Sunday Daytime Ratings

With three nights left before its final episode, Marimar continues to dominate the ratings game, not only in the primetime race but also in the daytime race.

Last Sunday, March 9, Marimar had its farewell party on SOP, where almost half of the show was devoted to the No. 1 primetime show in the country. This was immediately followed by a farewell special dubbed as Marimar…Isang Pasasalamat hosted by lead stars Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

It was a double victory for Marimar since SOP ruled the daytime race with 21.4 percent while Marimar…Isang Pasasalamat was a close second with 19.9 percent.
